Jesus calls Harold Camping home

Tom Taylor reports that Harold Camping has died at age 92. He was so sure he knew the exact date Jesus was going to return that he mortgaged his network of Family Radio stations to plaster the entire country with billboards urging people to repent. When nothing happened, he had a stroke and went into a nursing home. He adjusted his calculations a few more times, but now he is at peace, sharing a room with Oral Roberts and Tammy Faye Bakker for all eternity.

Best Regards.

The things people allow themselves to be convinced of is astounding. I once listened to a worker connected with the Camping prediction explain that even if ‘it’ were wrong, the media outreach was worth having people examine the bible scriptures. But, I would bet 12 bagels to 1 that it convinced more people that Christians are nutty and still on the loose. Why did he not just do something that would still be helping kids after he died?

Here is an example of something that was actually meant to be misleading.

There is another similar guy who I think is still around, but you’ll only hear him at 3 in the morning – the show is called the Overcomer Ministry. In some people, the line between their religious beliefs and mental illness is hard to define. Protecting religious freedom is too important even if you’re sure they’re bonkers, so we err on the side of tolerance.

The bankers who loaned him the money are now going to make a killing, sucking up all the money that people gave to the ministry over the decades.

I get invalid host name on the site.

Is it working for you? Maybe Time Warner wants to hide the truth from me.
