One Response to Canada hits the Off switch

A sad, but not unexpected development. They have been cutting CBC/RCI funding for years. At least it will save the Canadian taxpayers a few dollars (because the government won’t just spend that money somewhere else, right? 😉 )

I have some fond memories of listening to RCI – years ago they selected a letter I sent them (I don’t even remember why I wrote them) as their “viewer letter of the month” or some such title. Anyway, as a thank you they sent me a free music CD of Christmas and ‘holiday’ songs by various Canadian artists of various genres. It is actually a decent album that I still have in my Christmas mix (save for the one track they included by Celine Dion, I never have been able to tolerate her voice).
